Case Study: Snowy

Snowy

Snowy, a 2 year old terrier cross was attacked by a German Shepherd dog. The dogs teeth penetrated her right gluteal muscle and left bicep muscle as she was picked up and vigorously shaken.

Her skin was torn from her hind limb in an almost de-gloving effect and she underwent 2 operations to stich the skin back together. Unfortunately the skin began to die off which effected it’s ability to heal.

Her treatment consisted of intensive Phototherapy and after just 23 days, the wound has sufficiently healed with no need for further surgery.
